It turned out to be a perfect day for fossil collecting.
Monte found this set of prints belonging to a small salamander type animal. The line down the middle was where its tail was dragging in the soft mud.
She also found this nice piece of bark with an interesting pattern.
Look closely at the plate on the right and you can see fossilized raindrop impressions.
