Drummin' On The Coosa

We are two sisters who love to fish. We've gotten to hit the river a lot lately. The following is a report that highlights a particularly successful recent fishing trip...We had a drummin' good time!!

This is our boat we call the silver bullet because it is nice and fast!

Michelle: It was a beautiful day and I couldn't wait to set foot in this boat.

Soon our friend Mike arrived with his boat. He had some favorite fishing spots to share with us today.

Kelley: These are my children Kristen & Mason and they are as excited as we are to get out there and catch the BIG ONES.

Michelle: This is me looking cool in the water. You can see the second half of our posse in the background getting ready to launch out. We had plans to go to the Alabama Power Dam to seek out some jumbo striped bass.

First we had to head down river to collect some bait. We went to a slew called the Sand Pits. It is an excellent area to catch shad with a throw net.
