The temptation to grab the wheel and drive was almost too much for Michelle. Did she feel the "need for speed"?

We finally made it to the dam and the turbines were on. This makes the water swift and dangerous but ripe for the pickin' with stripers.

As we fished we had a captive audience of stately herons.

Kelley: Kristen is all about catching them, just don't ask her to hold one.

Michelle: Soon Mike hooked into a big un'. I could tell it was huge by the way it bent the rod.

Kelley grabbed the net and scooped it up as soon as it topped the water.

Kelley: This was Mike's claim to fame for the day! We haven't seen many things that get him this excited! Wanna give Mr. Fish a kiss Mike?

Can I claim him too?

Kristen is a fast learner and pulled this big drum from the water all by herself!

This one was soooo awesome I couldn't resist the urge to give it a Bill Dance "smooch".
