This was our first Indian Artifact collecting adventure. Over Thanksgiving, Monte’s aunt had told her about a place that she had taken her family to collect Indian pottery. They had collected quite a few pieces in the short time they were there. With bait like that, who wouldn’t bite the hook???!

The pottery was located on a small, tree covered island. In order to get to it, we were going to have to hike a partially submerged path from the mainland to our destination.

Michelle was wearing the latest fashion in rockhounding.... hot pink, cammo and chicken plant boots!!

We were booted up and ready to go.

Before long, the car was looking mighty small.
