We loaded up the four-wheeler and caravanned to Tony's house. Tony lives on the other 437 acres of the farm. This is the area where the petrified wood had been found.

We just had to get a picture of "The Women of Rocks and Lace" with the massive petrified log.

With the amount of terrain we had to cover and only one day to do it in, we took the best mode of transport for the job. This was Michelle's first time to drive a quad. She was a natural and was from then on the designated driver.

After an hour-long four wheeling tour of the property, we took off on our own in search for the wood. Where we were going collecting was deep in the Mississippi woods.

We decided to start off surface collecting in the spring-fed cool creeks that crisscross the property.
