RockFest is an annual rock and mineral show that is put on by the Weinman Mineral Museum in Cartersville, Georgia. The 2007 show was the 19th show and also the last one put on by the museum. The Weinman will be replaced by the new Tellus Northwest Georgia Science Museum. There will be more rock and mineral shows in the future but they will have a new name. In light of this we were glad to be a part of the last "RockFest". We had been preparing for the past two weeks and were excited when the set up day for the show had finally arrived. We loaded Michelle's truck to overflowing and hit the road to Georgia.

We were some of the first people to arrive. We met our good friends Bill and Sherry Mitcham, and Bill's Aunt Charlotte there. We were shocked to see how much progress had been made on the new Tellus Science Museum.

The first thing we did was set up the tent and unload our goods.

It was cozy in our tent. We had a tropical theme going on.

Michelle said it had a mysterious air about it. You know us...we had to throw some fun into the whole matter.
